Hello all, I just acquired a Sundance 4.3, the bow test reveals more flex than I'd like in the hulls. Looking for advice on how to get the platform as stiff as possible without hurting it.
-
Hello all, can someone please advise the area of the Sundance 4.3 main and jib, seperately please. Regards Michael.

Hello, I'm wanting to cast with Araldite but don't know of a suitable mould material. Any advice welcome.
-
It may not look like $200+ and 10 hours work but here is the trailer. It allows self launch and retrieval and keeps the boat on the beams. Thanks again Tony. http://www.bur.st/~shwell/TigerTrailer.JPG

Thanks very much Tony, this is very helpful. My boat will go on backwards as well. Regards, Michael.
-
I should say the boat is being delivered this Sunday but have started modifying the trailer already. MB.
-
Thanks Tony, the long beams would be easier that the initial plan. Do you happen to have dimensions for keel - keel, inner gunwhale - inner gunwhale, bow to front beam and beam to beam?? Please don't feel obliged to answer, just incase you know them off the top of your head. Regards, Michael.
-
Thanks Tony, the trailer has a 5" box but has a longer draw bar. I'm keen on something like a typical A class trailer - where you slide on via cradles upto a beam catch and then something for the back beam too. I have a few ideas but don't want to reinvent the wheel. Regards, Michael.

Hello, I bought a PT and now need to modify an old duck punt trailer to suit. Can anyone advise on a method for self launch and retreival? Photo's would be much appreciated. Regards, Michael.

Greetings, I'm considering building a trailer for an A class over winter and am thinking aluminium might be the way to go, but want it to be low cost as well. Anyone have any tips?

There's a DVD with Mitch Booth commenting how Olympic officials where amazed upon discovering athletic prowess isn't needed to sail a Tornado. MB says good gear is the most important thing. It maybe a reason why the multihull has been dropped. Personally, I reckon a demanding single hander should be the Olympic multihull. I also reckon it'll be back sooner than later.

With the old name, kids would yell "Harry the Bastard", fisherpissedheads with Sombrero's would yell "Harry the bastard get fu'd" etc... I just wasn't upto it.

In case anyone is interested, oven cleaner did the trick excellently. The paint is acryllic. Here is a pic(1.1MB): http://www.bur.st/~shwell/sailing/images/justHarryNow.jpg
