  6. Winter series for cats up to 14' starts again at Lysterfield on Saturday the 14th June. The bay at that time of year can be a challenge but Lysterfield in the heart of SE Melbourne is ideal. Races start at 1.00pm. More details at www.lysterfieldsailing.com.au
  7. Absolutely. We have our first winter series race at Lysterfield is on Saturday the 14th June starting at 1.00pm. Races are followed by hot dogs in the club rooms immediately afterwards in order to warm up again. Generally the winds are good and if you can wear the right gear, not too cold. All in all it makes for great Sailing. Then if you are really brave you can go up to Sugarloaf on Sunday.

  9. Three more races to go. Saturday, 10th, 17th and 24th August. Last weekend was excellent. A great sail in a nice northerly.

  12. If you are missing sailing and can't wait until summer, race 2 of Lysterfield SC winter series is this weekend.....and we only allow 14' cats. We had 15 boats for race 1. Weather is looking good.

  14. Interestingly at last weeks Sauna Sail regatta at Hazelwood, out of about 100 boats that took part, there was only one 14' catamaran. The fleet was mixed with plenty of mosquito's, Hobie 16's, Vipers, Taipans etc. Not one PT, Arrow, Mari, or Windrush. Just one very lonely Nacra430 and an arrafura cadet. Is this the future of 14' cat sailing?

  18. No problem. Wander over to Lysterfield on Saturday if you like. I am helping out with the sailing school in the morning and then racing in the afternoon. I will be there around 9.30am with my boat. You are welcome to have a look and if I get time may be able to take you out on it. regards Mark
  19. I am considering an upgrade to a new 430. Maybe in a year or so. markmac; where are you based?
  20. Have owned a Nacra430 for over two years and would thoroughly recommend it. Great boat, fast, forgiving and easy to manage. I have great fun on mine. I race it one up every weekend all year round. Every race is a new challenge. Briscat are also very supportive. Suggest you talk to Briscat, visit to a local club and try one out.

Plenty of parking and plenty of space to rig up. All visitors are welcome. If you like to race without big cats getting in your way come and race on Lysterfield at the weekend.
