shorty 0
Have just purchased a Taipan 4.9 that was set up as a Sloop. After any info on cat rig tuning. ie: Mast rake, spreader adjustment, differences in sails, mast etc. The front bridle connections are angled for a sloop connection, can these be bent up to suit the twin forestay's used on cat rigs.. Any info would be aprreciated [This message has been edited by shorty (edited 03 December 2003).]

Herman 0
I dont no of anyone with a twin forestay. My mast rake is around 100mm behind the rear beam. Spreader rake is now at 39mm i weigh 75kg ish. I too went from a sloop rig to cat, found a new cat specific sail made a huge difference. If you look at the Taipan web site you will find some great tips and also AHPC link is on the taipan site too. Good Luck have fun.
