phil_taipan117
The Nationals commenced today at Gippsland Lakes Sailing Club. The number of entries might be down on the boom years but racing is certainly tight. For instance, in the 4.9 sloops, 2nd race, there was only 20 seconds between 1st and 6th. Deadlypurrsuit
Dear Phil, Good to hear from you and that the racing is keen. I wish we could be there also. I have spent Christmas sailing around the Keppels with the kids, which is another reason I bought a 5.7. 20 knots + 2 on wire + kite + beautiful water and islands = excellent time; however I would still like to be at the Nationals. Still only "racing" Nacra 16 sqs up here and usually I am following them. I will be at Yaamba this Easter so I am taking Aus 118 with me and hope to see some of the NSW coast. Regards to all, Carl
