If there is a buyer in the price range for what he is selling and is happy with the product, then it is a fair price. I sold my Mari for ust over $2k, and it was in tip top condition, with a new set of sails that had been used 4 times in zero wind, new blocks, sheets, stays, tramp. You name it I updated it. The hulls were in sensational condition and she looked a treat. Anything over $2.5K and you have a seriously sensational boat, as I thought mine was as good as anything around. You can get a Nacra 5.8 for $5k too, or a Hobie 18 or 16, an older Taipan 4.9, a runabout and a crappy car. But, if he wants to sell it at that price, good luck to him.
