ZAX
HooD is correct, I will add a link to download flash on the introduction page also and try to not make it present a blank page if someone does not have flash loaded. thanks for the feedback, it all helps For people with slow internet connection it is probably quicker to bypass the intro using this link http://www.maricat.net/index2.htm And thanks guys for the pics, I have received a lot now from Graham and also Tassie ones from Darren. Cammo
I cant load this web site either - I've installed Flash and shoclwave and all I get is a purple colored frame but no content. Grateful all clues to fix. ZAX
Hi Cammo, Are you able to get to the site using www.pentek.net? Click on the option "Enter without flash Intro" What happens if you use one of the direct links to the results e.g. http://www.maricat.net/results_CAT/mywebos.html Are others also having difficulty using the web site? cheers, John. Cammo
Hi John still no good. All I get with the Pentek site is half the frame taken up with a beautiful pic of a bridge, the Pentek company stuff which all works, and what I assume is the navigation bar down the left hand side blank. If I go to the results section of the maricat.net site as per your link it works well, but I can't access any other bit of the site. I'm searching through all my permissions/security/settings etc, but no joy yet. Thanks, Rob. Originally posted by ZAX: Hi Cammo, Are you able to get to the site using www.pentek.net? ZAX
Cammo, The maricat website is www.maricat.net I pointed you to the pentek site just to check if you have general problems with a flash enabled site. The results page does not use flash at all so I think that is what the issue is. What web browser are you using? The site should work best under Internet Explorer 6.0 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp or Firefox 1.5 www.mozilla.com Maybe I need to make a non flash enabled site as well... will keep you posted. Pointed Reply
John, This is still causing problems. It will not open on some computers and the links to Flash (or what ever) do not come up. Also if you put Maricat into Google, it goes to a redirect from the Old Graham Heap site. Can you fix this ? The Bitch
Rodney, try this web address. This should take you past the first page and straight into the website. I tested it on my computer first and it worked. www.maricat.net/index2.htm
Pointed Reply
It still will not work on my home computer (but does at work). I have redownloaded flash and tried all the things that John has suggested but still no go. I can get the results page and the Pentek site. My home cumputer is new with broadband etc. I don't think my problem is uncommon. If the Newsletter and NOR for Easter is going to be on the Maricat Website then we need to make it work. xmatelot
hi, if your new computer is set up with "Internet Explorer 7" this can cause many small problems with trying to load or download some programs. I had problems , and was advised to go back to IE6, this worked for me. pete
Helter Skelter
I can not get the site to work either. IE or Firefox both failed. Even if I link past the introduction page still no joy???
The Bitch
Rodney, the newsletter will be posted or emailed (need Publisher for email) shortly and in it there will be several options for retrieving the NOR for Easter. No need to worry about that. Donna
ZAX
The website is no longer maintained. A meeting of the committee in October last year voted that it should be maintained by others.. so I no longer look after it. sorry about that. I had made the existing site as a volunteer project, it was not something paid for by the association.
Cammo
Hi guys - I had some trouble getting this to work using IE then tried it with a different browser (Firefox) and bugger me it worked perfectly. To my considerable surprise and complete mystification, after that it worked on IE as well!
