berny
This boat is for sale on ebay and while no good for racing could provide some useful bits for repairs etc. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4579693944&ssPageName=ADME:B S:AU:
Inland_Sailor
What do you mean no good for racing? We have one in our club and its no slouch. Its as fast as any 4.3 and has a generous VYC handicap of 110 or sailed in SS form, as the one I'm refering to is on 100, which is also very generous. Beats 4.3's every time its up against them. The only difference between the 4.0 and the 4.3 that I can see is the extra 30mm and its tendency to nose dive more. The skipper gets out and back on the wire and keeps it up in stronger breezes. Rig and running gear is identical. Come to think about it it's a wonder more arn't raced.

ZAX
Inland Sailor, we are hoping to run a division for the Maricat 4.0 at the Nationals in January 2006 at Mannering Park Sailing club. Would be great to see some there ! Or, race with the 4.3's if prefered?

ZAX
Is the 4.0 actually quicker around the course than a 4.3? Thats quite interesting, have never raced against one before. Hope some turn up for the Nationals.
