gerardb
Hi All, Just got into sailing and have a 4.3 maricat (mark 1 I think). At the moment I'm trying to work out where you can learn about them. Is there an onwers manual that you can get for them?? Where are Maricats raced, I'm in the sutherland shire, and just want to try and learn more about them and see how people rig them and sail them, before I start to race, and also need to do a bit of repairs to the old girl before I'll start racing. Any info on the maricats and places to see them in action would be great.
ZAX
Gerard, You will get information from www.maricat.net and others on the forum. There is no owners manual as such for the maricats but Brisbane Catamarans can also be very helpful with advice and parts, they are the manufacturer of the boat. Others on the forum may know better where the local maricats are in your area.
humungus2
Kernell Cat Club I would think would be the closest. check out their web site www.kcc.asn.au If not, Port Kembler as there is a guy from Southerland who sails there.
skyman
Kurnell Cat Club is your closest club Wayne current cat rig champ and John - myra who both give the nacra 14s a hurry up. Kurnell sails Sundays. Wayne also sails at Port Kembla on Saturdays where there is a large fleet of 14 footers windies and maricats. Both clubs welcome new members and have a wealth of experienced cat sailors who can help you. cheers d
