PDS
I'm going to have crack at racing for the fist time at the Easter regatta (cat rigged... for starters). If you normally finish at the arse end of the fleet, well, good news, you may have some company! On a practical note, I need to get my head around some basic logistics needed to get there and be in it. Firstly, do I need to be a member of anything? Is there a camping area near to where the boats will be during the weekend? (and is it, in fact, at Toukley?)Any other basic stuff you can help with is welcomed...your help is appreciated. PDS. Pointed Reply
You need to be a member of the Maricat Assoc (about $65 -- join on the day) and a member of a sailing club. The Canton Beach Caravan Park is just up the beach. Don't be worried about your sailing ability..its good fun coming last !! Also forget the cat rigged bit..put on a jib, find a friend and sail Sloop Rigged.
