I would think that the two on ebay at the moment probably might come close to being maybe 50% of the remaining M5's in existence. Emmessee Posted April 23, 2007 Report Share Posted April 23, 2007 Two sail out of Mannering Park occasionally. One is the designer of the boat and is a blue one and the other is his brother in law. Nice boats, but a little on the heavy side. Rumours went around that is is basically what the Taipan was founded on. They are very similar in looks, but the Taipan is lighter. The Maricat is about the same speed as a Nacra 5.0, but in heavier conditions it can slip away a bit. I found them a little to easy to bury the nose, but still a nice boat, especially at the price you can get them at now. There are about 15 left in operational condition.
