I have also come across Maricat masts with a single sheeve at the mast head and a extension peace welded onto the base (is this an original MK1 mast ) ? humungus2 Posted May 26, 2007 Report Share Posted May 26, 2007 No that is a make shift mast. As long as it is the same as the origanal then it should do the job as a muck-about boat. If you had a new mast and an old mast together, the heavyer one would be the MKII. They look both the same on the outside. The MKII has extra ribs inside.
