Pointed Reply Posted June 18, 2007 Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 A few holes and corrosion may not be too bad. Drill them out, clean it up and put it back together with proper anticorrosion sealer. There is not that much load on the boom, except at gooseneck and block hanger. Buying a second hand boom may not be much better than what you have. If you buy a new style blank you will need the hardware: goosehead, hangers and an outhaul car -- not cheap.
