Bridgehugger
See [Post your regatta]this Forum. We have a couple of Maricats down here that are seriously fast. I would be very suprised if they could be beaten on home turf by any specialist Maricatter. Try your luck boys.
Pointed Reply
When you post the date we can check out what might happen. Why not bring the "seriously fast" Coila Maricatters to the State Titles and Traveller events. These regattas get the best of all 14ft cat classes. humungus2
I just checked it out on the net. I see you are not far from Narooma. I know there is a few Maricats there and even female skippers. The Mrs asked whats there for her to do. Is there a 5 star hotel or just a camp site. If I can keep the Mrs happy, I can go. shazz
how long will it take us to get there, whats the accommodation?
Bridgehugger
Sorry about that boys, I've got the regatta posted in the right place now. Coila is about half way between Maruya and Narooma. Plenty of accomodation of all star types. There are great markets for the woman at Moruya every Sat morning. Batemans Bay has plenty to offer as well, being the closest ocean place for the people of Canberra to go to.
aura
Humungus, There is a great lake with plenty of prawns, if we send all the misses out to catch them we should be able to have a great feed. I hear that the Hilton Chain wanted details of upcoming regattas so they can build hotels there. Narooma and Moruya have some good motels but def not 5 star. Have you considered purchasing a Motorhome (Refer Robin Williams Movie "RV" ). Maricat on the top and Deliverance playing through the speakers. knobblyoldjimbo
hooooyaaah, and they can play Black Betty during the prestart - it's exactly four minutes and the country riff starts at exactly two minutes . . I've told the Careel people that I'm replacing the porta-potty with a sub !!!

Bridgehugger
What are you guys talking about. Of course there is 5star accomodation. I'm sure I saw 5 stars though the ceiling of the last motel I stayed at in Maruya. Yep and I was served breakfast by a pretty girl with no teeth------ and er, six fingers. Or was that twelve?
