Bridgehugger
Seems to me there is a mentality of whose catamaran brand is the best or at least whose can do the best cartwheel.I've been sailing for two months and have a Mari and a Cruz cat. Both 14s and am now looking for a Hobie, at least I'll sort one way or another which one or ones I will keep.
anothertoy
bridgehugger when you finish with the hobie and want to try going forward in a more straightforward manner there is a nice 14sq nacra waiting for you on the gold coast
Emmessee
The 14 square is a sensational boat and has plenty of bouyancy to keep you above the water. The hulls are teardrop shaped and you can head out with 3 adults on-board and not have a problem. BUT -- They are not 14 feet long. They are a tad longer, and it is worth it. I think for their size they are one of the best little boats ever built. I sailed one a few years back and in a breeze had no problems at all keeping up with most of the 16 foot fleet, beating most of them across the line. I am however, looking forward to seeing the Nacra A2 on Australian shores soon.
Emmessee
Are there many people in here going up to Mannering Park for the regatta on the 13th and 14th November?
Dave
There's about 5 Paper Tigers going from Koonawarra Bay SC. There will probably be some other PTs from the Central Coast as well. Dave.
