xmatelot
Hi Andrew, use good quality lashing,(infinetly adjustable),definitely the cheapest way to go. pete
Leapin Leroy
Ash, Try 3 or 4mm spectra, make sure that you have a minimum of 4 "loops" through the eye on the sidestay & forestay, and away you go... As we say over here, "Bob's your uncle". Regards, Leigh
HooD
I have heard Pete likes a good quality lashing.... Seems to be the trend to replace many shackles with lashings on anything from a sabot to a 100ft keel boat.

xmatelot
I think that lashing is the way to go on a new 'unknown' length, as it is fully adjustable, then when the correct lengths are found use shackles, adjusters, chainplates etc, for convenience, the old saying is true, " you can't put a price on convenience". pete

ashm86
I talked to the previous owner and he gave me chainplates that he no longer had a use for They have turnbuckles on the bottom that connect to the tangs on the hulls. warbird
I think you are talking about rigging screws. Chainplate for a PT are $5 each. Rigging screws are a pain, unreliable and heavy. Use dynema and learn hoe to lash with no knot so easy to adjust while very reliable.
