Pointed Reply
The Bathurst 12 hour production car race is also on that weekend. So if the spectators get bored with watching Ferraris howling around The Mount, they can come and watch the Maricats at Carcoar ! So it could be busy coming through Bathurst on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Pointed Reply
Dropped in at Carcoar Dam on the way back from Bathurst yesterday. A couple of photos of the venue. A nice breeze blowing keeping the wind turbines on the hills spinning. Lots of grassed areas for boat rigging and camping. Gates will be open for the early arrivers on Friday afternoon. The club has a good looking club house with showers etc. BBQ available for lunch and breakfast on Sunday. May need BYO for Saturday morning. Easy to find...from Sydney turn left at the end of the Blayney main street, Barry Road 5k to right hand turn...sign to sailing club, Blayney Neville Road...6 km to right hand turn at sign...Carcoar Dam Road (dirt road) 2km to sailing club gate. From Cowra..turn right about 5km east of Carcoar on Mid Western Hwy onto Carcoar Dam Road...4 km to dam wall...cross dam wall and 3.5 km to club gate (dirt road).
