John Dowling
Yes - great watch. I have a dead one which can't be repaired because seiko stopped making parts quite a few years ago. They stopped making the watches because the volume being sold to sailors was a drop in the ocean to such a big company. I also have several others which currently reside at the bottom of various lakes and ocean floors along the east coast of Australia. You are welcome to them if you can find them. Rumour has it that Dennis Connor bought up the last of the spock about ten years ago and gave them to his various crew when he was doing Etchells titles around the place. knobblyoldjimbo
try a casio sea-pathfinder, the second model from the bottom has an ISAF race timer with synchronisation. watches have always been on the cheap side in the uk and just at the moment two aussies will buy one quid. there are ebay shops (.co.uk) with them at 20 quids which comes to about 55 including postage. this compares to about 140 for the ronstan clear start.
