Emmessee
How about the stingrays! They used to do so well there on the windy, flat lake.
slammer
I think the stingrays are a bit of a touchy subject at the moment.
slammer
It really hasn't changed, except the boats are half their weight, the girls are twice their size. My eye sight is half as good, but by opinion is twice as important. [This message has been edited by slammer (edited 13 September 2006).]
slammer
The pictures that Tornado supplied reminded me of another picture of the wildcat. For those with broadband access-The Google Earth site image of Wallis Lake is a photographic image as opposed to sattelite. Yep, it's Wildcat day 2002. The boats are all on shore. The rescue boats are on their way out to set the course. Ah magic.

The Big Bloke
Thanks to all sailors and their families for making the Wildcat 2006 a great success. Entries were up and the chaos was down. Thanks to Brian and Bart from ZHIK for their generosity in supporting prizes for the Wildcat. The wind conditions were challenging all weekend but good training for those launching an F18 campaign culminating at the Worlds at Yeppoon in February. Good luck! Great to see some 14 footers returning for the Wildcat. Big effort from the guys from SA. See you all next year if not before on the circuit during the season. Look out for the cranked 5.7 with The Big Bloke at the helm! Regards Tim Haffner GLSC

tornado
G'day Big Fella, Once again a great regatta and just reminds everyone that Forster is one of the 'Must do' events on the sailing calander. Where will the pics and video be available. I am sure the AUS F18 Assoc. would be very keen to get copies.
