knobblyoldjimbo
What an excellent excuse for what looks to be a horrible weather day. I too might also go and get a carbon rudder for my Careel (I've had the poor guy hanging on for a month or more). I'll make sure to wear my grey cardie! But, we'll see how it pans out. knobblyoldjimbo
I think tomorrow (18th July) is the next one - I'll be there - seabreeze says sunny but I might bring a paddle since it's showing down to 5knots in the afternoon (albeit later on). knobblyoldjimbo
Yup, last one. Even the stoic Wangiits have to go into hibernation! Thank you Shane for organising it, I know I've been absent for some of the races but those I did were very well worth it and I think these and the Toukley Brass Monkey have seen me progress from my apprenticeship in cats. Yesterday started as a broad reach turning into a close fetch right across the lake, very nice Maricat conditions, not really enough for the big guys. By the end (two laps), it was a beat back into the finish. Again, thanks. James (Daisy (the cow!) #37)
