Michael Bradshaw
Need some advice on setting up the mainsheet traveller system. I have noticed that there is a pulley either side of where the mainsheet block attaches to the traveller. I used to sail Flying Dutchman's and they have the same thing, but have a chord attached to the pulleys either side, that allows you to pull the block in or out on the traveller, depending on where you need it. My nacra doesn't have anything there at the moment. Is the main sheet meant to somehow travel via these pulleys? At the moment, it seems to compromise how much pressure I can produce on the mainsail, particulary when pointing high. Hope this is clear. (Any good websites that talk about tuning your rig?)
