Kim
I've recently bought a 16' Freestyle 474, told by Warren at BCC that they are very similar to a Nacra (imported approx mid 80's & my enrty level to cats). Have been impressed with the amount of help everyone seems to offer each other on this forum and wondered if someone could offer a brief explanation on the difference between 16sq. vs 5.0 etc. Have already got some great tips from everyones previous questions. Thanks
CleverNickname
The Nacra 5.0 is a two person catamaran with mainsail and jib. It does not have any centreboards. The 16 square is a single handed catamaran named after the area of the mainsail (it has no jib). It has centreboards.
