REV YUKKA II
where are you from sam? the best way to get more out of the boat is sail with 5.8's and look at what the guy that are beating you are doing different in sailing and set up. there is also a lot of good info on this web site. just read back through it. from what i have seen of the 5.8's there is no one style of set up which all the boats use. if you get a chance to go to a nationals that is the best place to tune your boat and your skills. because you race 10 races over the week and sail with the best boats and sailors. it give's you the time to make changes to your boat and then compare that to performance of the boats around you. regard REV YUKKA II

NacraPhelia628
Good idea Sam. You'll learn heaps at the States and considering you don't have to travel to get there, you would be mad to miss it if you want to be a good 5.8 sailor. Look around for a 5.8 called 'Black Jack'. Dave is the skipper and he'll give you a wealth of knowledge in a couple of days. Good luck.
nacra-maricat australia
Hi Would be good to see you there sailing. With 7 races to be held ,this is a perfect opportunity to sail against other Nacra 5.8s and learn from them. All of the guys attending are very helpfull. You can find the NOR for regatta below on a separate post or go to www.nacra.com.au under class assocation under the Queensland heading. Hope to see you on the watter.
