jbcoop Posted January 5 Report Share Posted January 5 Good day from New Zealand. I have tried to search this topic on the forums but all I get is "Something went wrong. Please try again." I have a Mk1 Maricat and I have taken the tramp off to make some repairs. The tramp comes in two halves and is tied down the middle. The 5mm cord has poly rovings inside with a woven outside. The outside has some breaks where it goes through some of the rings and so it needs to be replaced. Is there anything that is more suitable than this? I was thinking of Dyneema, but it might be too slippery to tie secure knots and, therefore, the tramp tension may reduce over time. Thanks for any suggestions. jbcoop Posted January 12 Author Report Share Posted January 12 I found in a marine shop that the cord is a poly core with a woven dyneema outer.
