V-Slicer
Hey all, the tramp needed some repairs so we removed the tramp, and in doing so we noticed that the tramp track on one side is much wider in one small section. Its looks as though when it was being built the person using a router to cut the groove took to much out. The wider section allows the tramp too pull out too easliy of the groove when under load. Has anybody else ever come across such a problem?
REV YUKKA II
are you 1604? if not you should talk to 1604 as they had a tramp issue at the nationals.
Village Idiot
ring Bris Cat center ,I had the same problem a couple of months ago ,we tried putting it bigger bolt rope in the tramp ect,,didn't work ,so they ended up glassing in some gussets inside the hull to stop the track spreading ,when you put pressure on the hull near the track the flex in the deck spreads the track and your tramp pulls out,,since it's been fixed I havn't had any probems what so ever.... Les
Our cat (Spider #1604) had this problem at the nationals.Tramp already had a larger bolt rope so tried sewing another layer of material over bolt rope with no success. Ended up pulling out three times then gave it away. Boat is now at BCC to fix. They intend fixing it by the method mentioned by Village Idiot.Hope we have the same success.
