shoom
Just read this in the local rag, might be of interest for you guys. Apparently the trustees of the Little Americas Cup have put out an invitation for yacht clubs around the world to host the next one, and eventscorp have answered the call for WA. It would be hosted in Owen anchorage which is situated in the Cockburn sound (about 8kms out of Fremantle) It is almost adjacent to the battlegrounds of the 1987 america's cup , which has been internationally noted for our strong and steady sea breezes. There have been, however ,notable submissions from places such as the French riviera and the US east and west coasts. I reckon it would be fantastic for the sport if we get it, and by that I mean for multihulls!
Dave
Are you sure it is the C-Class version and not the new one-design version of the LAC? As I understand it, the "trustees" of the Little America's Cup are the mob who organised the one-design event. If it is the one-design event, let the French have it! If it is the C-Class one, bring it on!! Dave.
