Guest Batman
Hi Phantom, Do you mean you want to put on a screacher on your boat or a overlaping jib? It may be hard for you to put a genoa on a Calypso as you would have to move all the jib fittings to the middle of the hull. To get the pulling angle right. Suggest you put a screacher on as it furles and you can sail with it up. Probbaly not making sence.
fantom
thanks Batman I have been searching on the net for info on both and have found it hard to find any beachcat info on either.... the furler sounds like the option that I am looking for... I want to keep it as easy to use as possible .. I think that this boat will be my only opportunity to try these accessories because when I move up to either a nacra or a hobie class rules will limit me. any info will be really appreciated thanks
mal gray
Fantom, get a Hobie 16 and the class approved spinaker kit with snuffer. Not legal for open class racing but very fast and a ton of fun Mal
