Andrew Holden Posted March 22, 2002 Report Share Posted March 22, 2002 The introduction of the F18 will allow all manufacturers the ability to sell a boat that is able to be sailed world wide - Fact The F18 will encourage sailors from Europe and the US to come to our large regattas and marathons during their off season - Fact The continuation of the Nacra 5.8 and Taipan 5.7 condemns Aust to be a cat sailing dinosaur - Fact the cost of a F18 is still cheaper that a 49er and it has twice the fun !!! - To be proven by how many skiff sailors we can convert. The enemy for cat sailing is not other cat classes or even other sailing classes it is the other sports outside sailing now available to people - sad fact We all need to bite the bullet and change now before 2 man cat sailing dies !
