Urgent, crew wanted for the F18 Worlds in Yeppoon QLD between the 17th and 25th Feb. Current crew now unavailable.

Spinnaker and catamaran experience desirable but not essential.

Accommodation ranging from rooms available at Rydges Resort to camping. Transport potentially available in car travelling from Sydney to Yeppoon with potential to pick up along the way.

I am in a simular situation as you where my crew just have become unavailable because of work commitments. I am absolutely new to F18’s and it has been twenty years since I last sailed. I was planning to take my Nacra to Yeppoon and participate in the event; by keeping out of the way of others and in the back of the fleet. At least I would not have had to work out where to head just follow the mob!

I would have thought that it would have been a great experience providing I didn’t hinder any of the serious racers.

Now when my crew that was a more experienced sailor than myself can’t participate I sort of having second thoughts. I have a couple of options either I try to team up with someone that is more experienced with there own boat or try to find someone experienced cat sailor to literally speaking; take me and my boat round the event. (Any takers?)

If you can’t find anyone drop me an email with your intensions. If nothing works out for me I was planning to go to Yeppoon as a spectator anyway but I guess “watching” from one of the participating boats must be the best seat in the house…

Just for the record I have bugger all sailing, cat, F18, regatta, spinnaker experiences but willing to have a go at it, as I do with other “projects” I get involved with!
