Glenn Ashby wins A Class Worlds - Aussies 1st, 2nd, 4th

Glenn Ashby has convincingly won the 2006 A Class Catamaran World Championships, sailed at Vastervik, Sweden. Glenn won all of the first 8 races, then watched the final 9th race from a spectator boat, having already won the event.

Second (on countback) was fellow Australian Scott Anderson. Third was Manuel Calavia (Spain), with Australian Andrew Landenberger in fourth.

Other Australians were Steven Brewin (12th), Jack Benson (51st) and James Cole (58th).

There were 82 boats from 16 countries in the fleet.
