phil_taipan117
I noticed that the AO F14 corrected out (on yardstick =80) into first place in one of the races held at Milang over easter. Beat one of the top taipan 4.9 cat guys in the country, and a few other competitive boats in SA (taipan, A class, F18, stingray etc). Not sure what happened in the second race of the day, when the AO F14 only got sixth on corrected time? The full results are on sacatamarans yahoo e-group. Darryl J Barrett
The second race PHIL, Antony decided to come back to shore to try sailing with more "aft rake" for the mast and before he got back and crossed the start line the first F18's were around the first mark
Darryl J Barrett
When I first saw that yardstick of VYC 80 phil, I was a little taken aback, but after I had a good look at the results and compared them to the records from Adelaide sailing club and the "Goolwa to Milang" classic, I think that it will actually settle out later on even lower than that.
