Darryl J Barrett
Raced and won by an Alpha Omega F14! Fourth across the line after eight and a half hours on the water in 33 degree heat and little wind. About five hours of light spinnaker work, conditions that should have favoured the larger cats. The F14 actually led all the cats for the first four hours. First across the line was the F18 "blade", second a Tornado, third a NACRA 5.8, then the Alpha Omega F14, followed by a 4.9 Taipan sloop and a 4.9 Taipan cat rigged. The corrected time put the F14 first by just under 14 minutes to the F18 "Blade". Not too shoddy for a little 14' cat? for full results http://lm.net.au/~meningiesc/GM2006/GM2006results.HTM
Darryl J Barrett
Sorry that should read that second on handicap was the 5.8 NACRA not the blade which was third.
