RichieH
Gday all, I have been out of the sailing scene for a while now. I am interested in the paper tiger as a 14 foot boat. I am in Newcastle NSW and wondering if anybody knew of any boats 4 sale around this area and sydney. Thanks
Dave
G'day Richie, Glad to hear you are interested in the Paper Tigers. There is a small fleet developing at Mannering Park, at the southern end of Lake Macquarie, so not too far from you. In fact the NSW State Championships will be held there over the Australia Day long weekend in January. I know of a PT for sale in Griffith. It is a very competitive plywood boat. It finished 4th at the Internationals in Melbourne at Easter. There are a couple of cheaper alternatives around as well, but it would depend on what condition you expect the boat to be in and what price you are expecting to pay. One of these is down in here in Wollongong where a guy is currently doing it up for selling. If you can give me an idea of what level of boat you are after, I can narrow down the search for you. Regards, Dave Stumbles Publicity Officer Australian Paper Tiger Catamaran Association.
RichieH
I want a boat that is reasonable competitive. I want to club race with intentions of going to state, national titles. If you could send me more info about the boats you mentioned to richard4@dodo.com.au. . Thanks Richard
alex 3057
Dave, Is the PT for sale at Griffith 'Against the Grain'? If so, how much is Greg asking? Regards, Alex [This message has been edited by alex 3057 (edited 06 October 2006).]
Dave
Richard, I have sent the info to you, as requested. Alex, yes it is Against the Grain. He is asking $8,000 as is or $7,000 with an older (still competitive) sail. Regards, Dave.
