shoom
Just thought I would put this little q to you guys, as I am sure there are several on the forum who have dabbled in wood boats. I have been rehabbing my plywood pt, and in several places there are sections of water ingress, particularly around the centrecases, where the wood has gone furry.. these fibres dont seem to come away when you sand either. are there any tricks to remedy this. happy sailing. Stephen T
probably not fully dry. I suggest cautious use of a hair dryer or heat lamp followed by some polyurethane or fglass resin to soak into the area, then sanding as required. Given that it never rains anymore, perhaps expose that area to full sun over a couple of days (cover at night) instead of power drying.
