FnCrazy Posted February 9, 2011 Report Share Posted February 9, 2011 Proudly present by: Kurnell Catamaran Club Inc with the support of Nambucca River Sailing Club Inc NOTICE OF RACE 5th&6th March’11: Two days, six races and the social BBQ of the year- Come experience some of the greatest sailing in what has to be the greatest venue on the NSW Coast. This is not only the regatta of the year and a great social weekend away, but a chance to remember a lost sailor and friend to many 1. Rules The regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in the 2009 - 2012 Racing Rules of Sailing, the Special Regulations of Yachting Australia, individual class rules and the Sailing Instructions. 2. Eligibility and Entry 2.1 Darren Lowder Memorial Regatta is open to all "off the beach" Catamarans. 2.2 Eligible boats may enter on the official entry form, available at the Clubhouse at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start of the first race. 3. Fees Fees are payable at the Clubhouse. Boats must complete and sign the entry form and pay the prescribed fee prior to competing. Results shall not be recorded where boats have not completed and signed the entry form and/or paid the prescribed fee. 2 handed Catamaran $60 or $ 40 for one day 1 handed Catamaran $50 4. Schedule of Events The Regatta Briefing and a moment silence will be held at Midday Saturday 6th March Saturday 5th March 3 Races are scheduled to be sailed back to back, Races 1, 2 & 3 will not commence before 1pm. Sunday 6th March A short follow up briefing will be held at 10am. 3 Races are scheduled to be sailed back to back, Races 4, 5 & 6 will not commence before 10.30, with the last Race of the day not to commence after 3pm. Refer to the Sailing Instructions for a detailed Schedule of Events. 5. Class Rules/Measurement Class compliance certificates and/or measurement certificates are not required. However, the Race Committee reserves the right to inspect any boat and vary class yardsticks for individual boats, where considered appropriate, at the Committee’s absolute discretion and without right of protest. 6. Sailing Instructions The Sailing Instructions (final copy) will be available by Midday on Saturday 5th February 2010 at the Clubhouse. 7. Racing Area Trial Bay, South West Rocks, Australia. 8. Courses Refer to Sailing Instructions. 9. Scoring You will drop your worst result provided 4 or more Races are sailed. Divisions will depend on entrants. The Darren Lowder Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the overall regatta winner. Refer to the Sailing Instructions for further details. 10. Prizes Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the Race Committee. Perpetual Trophies shall remain on display at the Clubhouse. 11.
