NOTICE OF RACE

Wednesday 25th April 2012

ANZAC Day Regatta

Yarra Bay 16 ft Sailing Club

An ANZAC Day Memorial Service will be held, near the flagpole before sailing at about 9 am. All are welcome to attend.

RULES

All races shall be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, the AYF prescriptions and safety regulations and the rules of each class of craft.

ORGANISING

The organising authority is the Race Committee of Yarra Bay 16’ Sailing Club. The Race Committee shall have the power to add additional persons for specific purposes.

ELIGIBILITY

The Regatta is open to all multihull, dinghy and skiff classes. All races will be conducted under the VYC yardstick (or other suitable yardstick if no VYC yardstick is available on the day). Five or more craft of one class will constitute a separate race.

STARTING TIMES

Skyrider Class Starting Signal not before 10:30 a.m.

Junior Classes (Sabots, Lasers, Ants etc) Starting Signal not before 11:30 a.m.

Senior Classes (Skiffs, Hobies, Nacra etc) Starting Signal not before 12:30 p.m.

Separate starts may be arranged for some classes depending on the number of starters. This will be announced at the pre-race briefing.

ENTRIES

Beach entries will be accepted. Entry Fee.is $5 per sailor.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Sailing Instructions will be available at the registration desk on the race day.

PRESENTATION

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each class and to some minor places depending on the number of starters in each class. Presentation of awards will be made as soon as possible after the race in the beach bar.
