The first event of the SEQ NACRA Super Series was the Humpybash at the Humpybong Sailing Club.  NACRA's once again made up a significant portion of the fleet with 5.8's, 4.5's and 16sq.  At the conclusion of the event a Lucky Sail Draw was held for members of the NACRA Association.  Congratulations to Rob Wibaux (5.8)  who won the $50 fuel Card (and re-gifted it to recent first car owner James Fraser) and Steve Neilson (4.5) who won a wet bag from our sponsor RONSTAN.

The Next event in the series is the Cat Challenge at Lake Cootharabah  - hope to see you there.

Hi All ,

The next event on the Nacra super series is this weekend at Lake Samsonvale Water sports.

Sailing is Saturday and Sunday, you may enter online to save some $s and help the club with the organisation.

Please go to-

Nacra Super series prizes

Fuel vouchers, plus Ronstan and Magic Marine sailing gear will be given out as lucky sail draws as part of the Nacra Super series.

You just need to be a financial member of the Nacra club and have a class legal NACRA catamaran.

Membership forms can be found at www.nacraqld.com.au

With a large number of Nacras presently sailing at the lake we are expecting a big fleet , forecast is looking great for the weekend sunny blue skies with moderate wind.

The Nacra super series is a great way to mix with other Nacras and a great chance to win some great prizes as well.

please see below for more information on this regatta:

Hi guys,

This is a shout out to all of those sailors who braved the weather over the last two years, rigged their boats, and may have even entered the water briefly in 2015!.

This year the CYC Peel Island Marathon will be held on Sunday 24th April (ANZAC DAY weekend).

The website has been updated with this years Notice of race and sailing instructions, and the Entry(Registration) Form for 2016 if you wish to complete or review prior to arriving on the day.  All documents will be available on the day.

If you are arriving on the day, please give yourself plenty of time, as the parking conditions have changed on the point, and you will need to drop the boat and drive the trailer away (CYC members will be on site to assist. The club will be open early on the 24th (after sunrise!).

Please contact myself or Lex Stanbridge if you are thinking of staying the night (camping on site is available by prior arrangement); or you can drop your boat off in the afternoon of Saturday 23rd before sunset by prior arrangement.

Here's hoping for more of the weather we have seen in recent weeks  - enjoy one of our sunrises (attached). If you are thinking of racing, follow us on Facebook for updates and add a comment.

apologies to everyone.  With everything going on at the states over easter I totally forgot it was a nominated event of the super series and didn't do a sail draw.  Will make some arrangements this week to do a post event draw at Brisbane Cats later in the week.  Will post details of winners soon as I have them.

The final event of the SEQ Super Series 2015-16 is the Wivenhoe Winter Marathon.

The 2016 Wivenhoe Winter Marathon is looking like it is going to be another memorable weekend of sailing and camping.

Remember, you will be able to register on the day that you are entering the event either both days or the one day only entry.

The camping sites are booked so all you have to do is choose a spot in the designated area.

Space will be tight with so many trailers. There will be club members to guide and marshall people and their boats so that we can keep everyone safe.

Remember that we are at Logan's camping complex this year, with full amenities ( toilets/showers).

For those that will be camping over the weekend of the 11th & 12th of June. The Brisbane Valley Sailing Club has booked camp sites 22 to 50 for the Winter Marathon. This allows plenty of room for all who plan to attend.

Just rock on up and register at the gate (Registration will start from 8 am Saturday morning) and then proceed down to the allocated camping area.

Remember coming from Brisbane, travel over the dam wall ,travel approx' 5kms turn right into Hey rd and follow the signs to Captain Logan's camp complex. Registration will start from 8 am Saturday morning.
See you all there.
