Inland_Sailor Posted September 17, 2003 Report Share Posted September 17, 2003 Rose Regatta – MoYC Mokoan Yacht Club, Benalla, Victoria, is holding their Rose Regatta over the 1st-2nd November.[Melb Cup Weekend] Mixed fleet: cats [PT's!!],dingies and trailables. Lake Mokoan Yacht Club is located on the Western side of Lake Mokoan, a man made water storage, just 15 Minutes from the Hume Freeway. It’s about 2 hrs drive from Melbourne, 5 hrs from Canberra, 7 hrs from Sydney and a long time from Adelaide. The PT’s sailors meet here from all of these destinations [and more] for their annual Interstate Challenge Trophy, currently held by N.S.W. TS16/18/21 sailors also compete for the Annual Kelly Cup as part of their Inland Series. As well as this there’s fleet racing for classes and mixed fleet sailing for individually represented boats, Free camping is provided with catering available for all meals, Cabin style accommodation is located nearby. Incorperating the PT Traveller Series for VIC and the Interstate Challenge. We are going for a seven race series, with plenty of fresh water in the Lake For those watching the World Cup, should be a TV for the AUS V IRE clash. Dinner [The Famous Spit Roast] will be on again on Saturday night, with the Sunday BBQ. Plenty of on site catering for Breakfasts and Lunches.
