slammer
Ah the WILDCAT. Three days of racing as many nights of partying. RESULTs are at http://www.greatlakessailingclub.yachting.org.au/news.asp Or at the end of this thread... So you will have to go to the top of the page and at the top left go to page two of this thread... This is the one not to miss. Wind and more wind, whether it's a smoking Sou'wester or a ripping Nor'easter. This place has it all. This year we're adding more Kransky's to the BBQ, we've polished the big screen and filled the gas bottles. Kitcat regatta for the kids and cocktails for the unfortunates on shore. Screaming reaches for those on the water.. Put it on the calendar, 2-3-4 October. Be here. It really is all about the love... The love of hot sun and afternoon beers on the shore. The jangle of halyards in the breeze as the sun sets over the water. A BBQ or three firing and the cheese and crackers coming out with beers in the esky slurry. Catch up with mates and friends from previous years. Meet new sailors and share the fun of a great weekend. http://forstersailing.blogspot.com/ Racing will be as always. Serious as possible, with maximum fun. F18 travelers series and hopefully some 14's will turn up this year... This is a pants off weekend.
grantly
This would have to be my all time favorite regatta of the season. Look forward to seeing everyone there this year.
slammer
Yes grantly. As much fun as possible with a heap of racing thrown in... The fridges are loaded with Premium beer and a new bulb in the projector... They have even moved the NRL grand final back to the evening as the GF was clashing with the Wildcat Sunday races. More to come .
The Big Bloke
It must be Wildcat time. The days are getting longer. The August winds are in August which is a nice change. We should get a good shot at traditional north-easters and southerly blasts across the ractrack. Can't wait to see everyone. The Open Bic Kity Kat regatta for the kids in the morning should be a lot of fun. Let's have a big one

Sorry Yarra but I've been a bit slack in chasing her down. She's still in Melbourne with the previous owner until I get a free weekend to get down there. I feel a bit like Lindsay Lohan's dad. Actually I think that's gunna be her new name Lindsay Lohan... Or more cryptically Marsha!!!

The Big Bloke
The Morning After Hello to everyone. Just a note of appreciation for the support shown to the Wildcat and Great Lakes Sailing Club on the weekend. It was the biggest fleet in the past few years with conditions difficult but fantastic sailing on Sunday and Monday. We missed out on saturday but we still got 6 races in the can over the weekend. The kinship shown over the weekend is a real standout which makes it all worthwhile. Have been tidying with some possesions left behind. We have a pair of stern supports which belong to a weekend warrior. Thanks once again to our sponsors Zhik and J.R. Richards. Regards Tim Haffner GLSC
