Wilson
Standing the 5.8 telephone pole mast up, I use a 4 to 1 pulley rope connected onto my jib halyard and the back of the boat trailer. This way my young son (my regular crew usually does not show until the boat is rigged!) pulls the rope and I stand on the tramp and guide the mast up, letting the pulleys take the weight. I use the pulley also to lower the mast. Just makes it easier. - Peter.
