nacra-maricat australia Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 Hi The Queeensland Nacra assocation invites all Nacra sailors to atrend a free training day at Southport sailing squadron on the Broadwater at the Gold Coast. On the 24th of July starts at 9am sharp. Lunch is provided and drinks. Training onshore in the morning then some short course racing in the afternoon. A great day for newcomers to come at meet fellow sailors as well as learn some helpful tips on the beach.All the hoshots will be there to answer any questions? My cast will come off a week after this training day.. doh. Would it be worth trying to get down just for the morning session? and is a cost involved. Stevelc_qld Posted July 11, 2005 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 7 nights accom at great keppel island, air fairs and transfers - $1300 Jet Ski hire on first day - $80.00 Learning that Jet Ski's can bite back and brake your leg - pricelss.... First activity we did, We thought it was just a very bad twisted ankle... got put into the plane by fork lift lol... and had x-rayed when we got home.. yep broke.. only 17 plus days to go in a cast... There will be raffles tickets to buy and you must be a member to attend.YOU MAY JOIN ON THE DAY. Membership is free for the first year if it is your first Nacra you have owned. Membership cost is only $30 for the year of which $20 goes to cover our insurance,the rest goes towards newsletters,running of training days,states,nationals,events like the King of the Lake and South East and North Queensland titles.
