richard campbell
if it will support a jib then ill put a kite on it but i need the answer to the jib question first
Emmessee
It doesn't need a jib on it mate. It will probably only slow it down. It will support a kite though.
warbird
I have just bought a 14 sq and without even sailing it thought a hooter code zero would be the go. I imagine the mast would need spreaders to protect the mast which from photos I have found looks very bendy. As a single sail boat it copuld probably do with the same lower stays set up as a PT and solme curve in the luff. Emmessee
The mast doesn't need anymore support. It will handle it as it is. Just keep pressure on your mainsheet. I am adding a kite to my 4.5 and not changing a thing.
