Mannering Park did a excellent job at hosting Round 3 of the Nacra Super Series, thanks Brett and all the volunteers who helped to make it a great regatta. I'll be looking forward to the round there next year.

Hey Rev, What was the results for round 3?

After talking to most of the sailors at Mannering Park we have at least 12 5.8's comfirmed and at least 5 pending for the next round of the Super Series at Port Hunter on the 10th - 11th February. N.O.R will be posted in the next week and it is an open class regatta.

Regards Graceland 1591.

Excellent, but that is my wifes birthday and I owe her a weekend away (I am not complaining). I thought a weekend in Newcastle would be great, but she didn't quite agree with me.

I also may have found a crew for next year so I may be on a 5.8 again.

It was great to see my old 628 on the weekend. She was born in 1985 and still going well.

Sounds like your using Australia Post Brett. Make sure it doesn't get lost in the mail.

Thanks for the hats Matt and sponsoring the Super Series, I missed meeting you to on the weekend so I'll catch you at Port Hunter. There is some very nice motels in Newcastle with beach and harbour views and walking distance to the ferry to get to Stockton, the club is 5 minutes walk from the terminal. That should keep the wife happy.

Apparently 628 has a mind of her own, bucking the crew off and going for a bit of a sail on her own only to be recaptured shortly afterwards. That is great news that you are going to sail a 5.8 again, I'm looking for more competition.

Also another pending 5.8 comfirm today it would be sailing at Port Hunter taking the total to 13 x 5.8's.

Regards Steve.

  • 4 weeks later...

Was just chating to Martin on the dog and bone and mentioned that I was having a drive the other day and found Stockton. I have never been there before.

I have a farm at Clarence Town, about 15 minutes from Raymond Terrace and Maitland.

I think I may join this club and sail there next summer.
