nacra-maricat australia Posted February 27, 2007 Report Share Posted February 27, 2007 The new Nacra F-18 Infusions placed well at the recent worlds. They managed to come 3rd,4th,5th and 7th overall. The pairing of Hobies top sailors of Darren Bundock and Mitch Booth placed 1st and 2nd. Conditions were 20-25knots with big seas in most races. Nacra also took out best placed female skipper with Caroline coming 7th overall. Nacra had a good number of boats with 25 competiting in a total of 78 boats. 15 races were held with Nacra managing a couple of wins in some heats. The Infusions showed that with some time on the water they will be the boat to watch in years to come. The regatta was a great success for the F-18 class.Well done to the committee on running a great regatta. Next years worlds are to be held in Spain.
