warbird
What sort of snuffer and sock? Don't need pole as I am in NZ. How high is the mast on the 5.8?

warbird
Photos are great. So far so good as the masts are the same height. How hard to also get one of the bridle foils second hand? Do you have photo of foil?
warbird
May I ask why you are selling? Is it performance related?
HooD
Only ever seen one used foil going. $500 for a new one. I brought the kite new in 2003, sailed it in the 2003/2004 season about 10 times. at the end of the season I sold 1/2 the boat to my brother and kept the kite. I hung onto the kite for the duration of his ownership incase he wanted it and when the boat was sold recently, there really is no use hanging onto it anymore. When I brought Jack in 2004 it came with a kite, and because no one else would race them with kites (majority of the fleet dont own them) we too sailed without. HooD
the kite is now on 1570 that pic was taken about an hour into the race, we beat them home by 8 mins on 1574.
nikki
The kite turned out to be a good buy!! After ironing out the set up problems (the snuffer had never been set up properly) we encountered in the first race - the next two times we have used it (only really viable to use in long distance races), it has enabled us to leave all other 5.8's (and other boats) in our wake!! Great fun!!!! Highly recommended for races with decent down wind legs!!! PS Good to see you get so excited about beating us Darren!! LOL!!!!
