Herman Posted July 12, 2009 Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 How do we tighten these. I have broken the thread on the nut thingy in the verticle pole going down to the dolphin striker. darcy1945 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Share Posted July 17, 2009 Don't sail the boat untill you get the repair done, dolphin striker tension is critical, without the correct tension you may damage/break the front beam or possibly both beams. I would remove the tensioner and replace it and and the striker, (it should be replaced every couple of seasons regardless, or if your short of cash, run a die nut over the thread and put a deeper or second tensioning nut on remaining good thread.
