Leapin Leroy
Depending on whether you are using the original manufacturers sails or after market???? If the original, i wouldn't be inclined to set up with any pre-bend. Set the tension to suit the power needed for you all up crew weight (ideally 120-140kg max). With a smaller section like the E5308 which was on them, mast rotation is critical to both performance and keeping the rig "in the boat". In other words too much rotation and you will bend/break the section. In light airs use 85+ degrees rotation, moderate airs 45-50 degrees and over 18 to 20 knots pull it right in to 25-30 degrees(or less if it feels and looks right) off centre line. Hope this helps, Regards, Leroy
darcy1945
With a decent cunningham/downhaul system you will be able to adjust prebend to suit the breeze/power required. Not less than 6/1 and play with rotation as well to power up or down.
PP
Prebend on my Hydra is easy to adjust with the cunningham/downhaul.
