First sail produced a small diaster when the bar decided to let go at the penultimate moment. So it is pear shaped outside and has a raided ridge inside to lock when turned. Prbably made of hdpe which is a wax and adhesives usually don't work. With nothing to lose ,I have drizzled a fine layer of epoxy along the raised section where wear is evident. So far so good... a bit of filing off high spots, the epoxy seems to be holding and it now seems to have plenty of bite.
