QB2 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 Can I use 50mm electrical conduit or domestic wastewater pipe, with say a wooden insert to give more rigidity, for the central shaft or do you have to use steel or aluminium pipe to give a reasonable safety margin? berny Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 PVC would not be stiff enough. Use 2" (50mmx2mm or 2.5mm WT) aluminium tube. It's worked well for me for about 10yrs. Use the 2" ID PVC for collars to hold the wheels in place. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
