nacrabat
Why is it that Hobies, Nacras and Taipans have "users" while Maricats have "sailors"??!!
phil_taipan117
Very astute. Suggest all forums should be "sailors" not "users".
nacrabat
Perhaps its because Hobies, Nacras and Taipans are addictive; and Maricats just aint!
berny
Or maybe they learn to sail on Maricats and then go and 'use' other boats
REV YUKKA II
if we are going to change we need the nacra one to say "pilots" as our boats fly! cheers REV (nacra 5.8 cowboy).
nacrabat
Well, I thought this might stir a bit more response from the maricaters, but obviously they are too busy worrying about thier weight problems!!?!
Bridgehugger
Rev, Do you sail (pilot) your Nacra by youself or is it a two person thing? Just curious. Rob
REV YUKKA II
hi rob have sailed the 5.8 one up a couple of times but it is a 2 man boat. they would be very hard to right if you went over one up. and you don't get the speed out of them cat rig as you do sloop due to there very big jib. you could sail one up sloop. but i don't think you would want to be in any more than about 10 knots unless you weighted 100kg plus.
