We encourage all 14ft (or under) catamaran sailors to come to the Koonawarra Bay 14ft Cat Regatta on 12th & 13th February 2005.

Koonawarra Bay Sailing Club is located at Kanahooka Point, just 15 mins south of Wollongong, NSW, on the waters of Lake Illawarra.

This is a fantastic regatta, providing excellent competition and close racing amongst the various 14ft cat classes.

This event will be used by the Windrush association as their NSW State Titles, which should add to the fleet size.

The Koonawarra Bay Yardsticks will be used. These have been developed over 11 years of holding this regatta and have proven their worth by the great variety of classes and rig configurations that have won the regatta over that time. A full list of these yardsticks is available on the club's web site (see below).

Please note that there has been a change to the race start time for Race 2 (Saturday afternoon). It will now be held at 2:30pm (rather than 3:00pm).

A flyer is available on the Koonawarra Bay Sailing Club web site at www.koonawarrabaysc.org.au (a revised version showing the new race time will be posted shortly).

Please post any questions you may have about the event on this forum.

thanks Dave, just read the results.

A Mari called Slugish at the regatta is not appropriately named. Very good performance by Tim.

Can you update us on the sailing from a maricat perspective... and will Slugish be attending the States at Toukley?

cheers !
